Blog Tour: Costa Del Churros by Isabella May {Review}

I’m delighted to be part of this tour for Isabella May’s third book, Costa del Churros.

The rain in Spain doesn’t mainly fall on the plain…

Brits abroad Belinda, Julia, Laura and Georgina need more than the sweetness of churros with chocolate dipping sauce to save them from their unsavoury states of affairs.

Cue Carmen Maria Abril de la Fuente Ferrera, the town’s flamboyant flamenco teacher! But can she really be the answer to their prayers?

One thing’s for sure: the Costa del Sol will never be the same again.

The latest offering from Isabella May, Costa Del Churros, is a funny and slightly satirical look at the lives of four ex-pat women living in Spain who are brought together by the world of flamenco.

As the characters form bonds, relationships and friendships they also overcome some of their own personal issues, helped along by the very colourful flamenco tutor who seems to know more about them than they realise.

It was nice to see a familiar character from Isabella’s earlier book, The Cocktail Bar, as well as the new characters.

The story is well written and flows beautifully. I was a little unsure where the book was heading to begin with but it didn’t take long to become immersed into the world of flamenco and the lives of the characters.

I really enjoyed this book and I love Isabella’s style of writing. It’s interesting to see how she incorporates the Laws of Attraction into each of her stories.

Costa Del Churros was the perfect read for my holiday, which also happened to be in Spain and meant that churros were available to eat while reading.

Many thanks to Isabella and Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources for the opportunity to be part of the blog tour.

About The Author

Isabella May lives in (mostly) sunny Andalucia, Spain with her husband, daughter and son, creatively inspired by the sea and the mountains. When she isn’t having her cake and eating it, sampling a new cocktail on the beach, or ferrying her children to and from after school activities, she can usually be found writing.

As a co-founder and a former contributing writer for the popular online women’s magazine, The Glass House Girls – – she has also been lucky enough to subject the digital world to her other favourite pastimes, travel, the Law of Attraction, and Prince (The Purple One).

She has recently become a Book Fairy, and is having lots of fun with her imaginative ‘drops’!
